ALTERNATIVE HEADBOARDS: ART & PAINT
If there's one thing we know about furniture, it's that beds are expensive. But you can't live without one, and if you move as much as I do, your bed needs to move and evolve with you to fit any size room or arrangement. In these restructuring of bedrooms, you come to realize that not only are beds expensive (unless you're lucky enough to score a great deal off of Craigslist or a yard sale), but mattresses are amongst the most expensive pieces of furniture, leaving you helplessly in search of an affordable solution to all your bed nightmares.
So do what makes sense. Downgrade to a simple bed frame rather than a pre-made bed, and don't skip the cost of a good mattress (this is the most important piece of furniture you'll ever own!). Just because you won't have the frame of your dreams doesn't mean your bed can't make the impact that you want it to. A DIY headboard is just the answer! There are millions of wonderful DIY headboard ideas out there, but today I'm going to focus on one of the simplest and most beautiful solutions: art.
