FOODS OF QATAR

This past week, I took my first trip to the Middle East. Destination: Doha, Qatar. While I've been familiar with foods from the region for most of my life (Moroccan, Turkish and Lebanese amongst my favorites) I never anticipated an experience quite like the one I had.

Since the oil boom, Qatar is expanding as one of the region's largest and richest cities; attracting tourists and international businesses to it's growing city. With the newfound wealth the country now posses, class and sophistication are adjectives you can't help but use in describing the lavish  hotels, decor, and of course, food.

I'll be posting a travel journal and photos from my trip on {PAPER AIRPLANES} shortly, but I thought I'd give you glimpse at the culinary world I experience in my five days in Doha. Bon Appetit! :)
